Canadian Hemlock
Our high quality, non–toxic plantation hemlock is used in the construction of buildings such as houses, bridges and, house sills. Hemlock is known for its natural strength and durability; it is naturally resistant to decay therefore ideal for sauna use. Hemlock is pale in colour and naturally richens over time and has a natural fragrance, it’s sweet and clean, considered the ‘forest bath’ for your senses. Hemlock is also commonly used for it’s attractive evenly grained wood texture so it is prized for flooring, panelling and trim. This natural material is not hot to touch, even in hot far infrared sauna temperatures. High quality tongue and groove timber is used inside and out. No toxic glues are used in construction of our Healthstart far infrared saunas.
